Rock Around the Clock

I chose this song because of the memories it conjures up about Lincoln High Basketball. More specifically the 1959 Undefeated State Basketball Champions.

Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley and the Comets was recorded April 12, 1954, by Deca. The original recording released in 1954 was actually titled (We're Gonna) Rock Around the Clock. The song was credited to James E. Myers (under the pseudonym Jimmy DeKnight) and Max C. Freedman. It is considered by many to be the song that put rock and roll on the map in America
