Mom Writes About Dad
Dad would have been 102 this month. It is time to share the poem and a couple of the whimzees she wrote about him.
TOGETHERNESS
Hand in hand down through the years
Sharing Happiness. Sharing Tears
Have we made our life worthwhile?
Sharing a laugh? Giving a smile?
How many more years will He give?
For us to Love. For us to Live?
Note: I have the plaque Jim had made of this poem.
Whimzees
Mom loved to jot down little verses as they came to her. She called them her "Whimzees".
COACH
Win or lose, reporters wanted a reason. His familiar quote was: "Some you win, Some you lose, won't be long 'til fishing season."
EX-COACH
Embarrassed, but I remember well, his ridiculing the refs. Every decision they made, loudly he gave them hell!
