The Easter Lily
- After the church services on Easter Sunday, owners of the Lilies took them away.
- I am left standing here all alone; I don't know to whom I belong.
- I know my blossoms are bowed down and the edges have turned brown.
- I'm in God's House so I have no fears. I'll fold my blossoms and say my prayers.
- And forgive the person who forgot about me. Who knows? Tomorrow someone might adopt me!

Mom was so proud of this poem. It was published in a poetry book, in several newspapers, and a few church bulletins over the years. In 2008, the director of the Villa Nursing Home where Mom lived until her death in 2009 shared the poem with the residents.
